How to Get More Value From dnAI Notifications

Stay informed without checking every tool
Reports, workflows, account requests, and platform updates often finish while you are working elsewhere. dnAI brings these events into one in-app Notifications panel, giving users and admins a clear view of what has finished, changed, or needs attention.
Notifications help you act on completed work, catch errors, and understand platform activity without repeatedly opening individual tools.
How notifications work
Open your account menu by selecting your avatar, then choose Notifications.
When unread notifications are waiting:
- A badge appears on your account icon.
- The account menu displays the unread count.
- New items appear in the Notifications panel.
Notifications are currently delivered in-app only. The panel is the primary place to find every notification type described below.
The notification types you will see
Announcement
Announcements cover platform-wide news, including maintenance, product updates, service interruptions, and important notices. New users also receive any active announcements when they join.
Announcements have an orange left border so they are easy to identify. They cannot be deleted and remain visible when you use Clear Updates.
Why it matters: You can stay informed about important platform changes without checking support resources or relying on email.
Automation
Automation notifications appear when a scheduled or manually started workflow completes or fails.
You may see:
- “Automation completed: {workflow name}”
- “Automation failed: {workflow name}”
The workflow name helps you identify the relevant automation, although the notification does not provide a deep link by default.
Why it matters: Background work can continue without supervision. The notification tells you when an output is ready or when an error needs attention.
Performance
Performance notifications are generated on Monday morning UTC when your team recorded qualifying activity during the previous week. This activity can include workflows, chats, and credit usage.
The notification provides estimated return-on-investment information, such as:
- Estimated dollars saved
- Estimated time reclaimed
Select View Progress to open the Progress section in your account panel.
Why it matters: Marketing leaders and admins gain a regular view of the estimated value dnAI is creating across their team.
Brand Monitor
A Brand Monitor notification appears when an analysis you started has finished.
The notification identifies the completed analysis and opens the report directly in Market Intelligence.
Why it matters: You can continue with other work while dnAI runs the analysis, then return when the report is ready.
Content Architecture
Content Architecture notifications confirm that a Content Architecture analysis has finished.
Selecting the notification opens the completed report in Market Intelligence.
Why it matters: Finished research becomes immediately accessible without repeatedly checking the analysis screen.
Deep Research
A Deep Research notification appears when a long-form, cited research analysis finishes. This includes Deep Research started through an automation.
Selecting the notification opens the report in Market Intelligence.
Why it matters: Long-running research can continue in the background, while the notification gives you a clear signal when the cited output is ready for review.
Competitor Tracking
Competitor Tracking notifications appear after a manual or scheduled competitor check completes.
The notification identifies the relevant watch and opens Market Intelligence → Competitor Tracking.
Why it matters: You can respond sooner when a tracked competitor changes its pricing, messaging, or website pages.
Notifications turn background activity into visible, actionable progress.
Profile Ready (onboarding)
Profile Ready notifications support two important onboarding moments.
When your account is provisioned, you receive a “Welcome to dnAI!” message and an onboarding prompt. Select Get Started to open /get-started.
When onboarding is complete, you receive “Your profile is ready!” This confirms that your Knowledge Base has been populated and your initial insights are available. Selecting the notification opens your client dashboard.
Why it matters: New users know exactly when to begin and when their brand knowledge is ready to support their work.
Subscription
Subscription notifications communicate the outcome of pause, cancellation, or downgrade requests reviewed by an admin.
The message shows whether the request was approved or declined. It may also include effective dates and administrative notes.
Request routing happens internally and does not appear as a separate item in your notification feed.
Why it matters: You receive a transparent record of the billing decision and any dates that affect your account.
Insights
Insights notifications are generated on Monday afternoon UTC when your workspace had meaningful activity during the previous week.
A typical notification includes:
- One clear win
- One or two relevant next steps
- A link to the suggested destination
Suggestions may include opening saved research, using an automation, or working with your Knowledge Base. Common themes include market research, content creation, automation, and team adoption.
Why it matters: Insights provide practical coaching based on how your team is using dnAI, without requiring a support call.
Managing the Notifications panel
The panel includes several controls for keeping your feed useful:
- Mark as read or unread: Use the eye icon to change an individual item’s status.
- Mark all as read: Clear the unread status across the panel.
- Delete: Remove individual notifications, except Announcements.
- Clear Updates: Archive all non-announcement notifications.
- Load more: Display older notifications in groups of 20.
When you open the panel, system notifications older than 30 days are archived automatically. Announcements are retained because they may contain information that remains relevant.
If your feed is empty, you will see “No notifications yet” with supporting guidance.
Account email settings and the in-app feed
Under Account → Settings, you will find two email preferences:
- Email Notifications: Important updates, enabled by default
- Marketing Emails: Features and offers, disabled by default
These settings control profile-level email preferences. They do not create a second notification inbox.
The notification types covered in this guide are delivered through the in-app Notifications panel. Email is not currently the primary delivery channel for those events.

The Notifications panel gives you one place to see completed work, important changes, and account activity. This reduces manual checking across dnAI and helps your team respond when action is genuinely required.
